Dr. Wendy Xu is an Associate Professor at the Division of Health Services Management and Policy, College of Public Health, Ohio State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from University of Minnesota. Dr. Xu is a health economist and a health services researcher. Her research examines topics related to accessing adequacy and financial burdens in vulnerable populations, including low-income working Americans, elderly individuals, and those with multiple chronic conditions. Her research which addresses the causes of access and financial burden problems arising from certain aspects of the U.S. health care system design, as well as the consequences of health policies attending to these issues. Her research has primarily employed complex survey data and large administrative claims databases.
