Xiaochu Hu, Ph.D., is a Research Manager of Workforce Studies at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). She served as Chair of the Health Workforce Interest Group Advisory Committee at AcademyHealth for the 2023–2025 term.
Her research focuses on labor markets, migration, and public health. Prior to joining AAMC, Xiaochu was a land-grant faculty member at the University of the District of Columbia and a graduate research assistant at the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University.
Xiaochu holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University, an M.A. in Applied Geography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an M.P.A. from Beijing Normal University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Beijing Language and Culture University.
