Andrew Loehrer, M.D., M.P.H.

Andrew P. Loehrer, M.D., M.P.H. is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and of The Dartmouth Institute at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. Loehrer completed his medical education at Loyola University Chicago, general surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his Masters of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Policy from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and served as the 2015-2016 David F. Torchiana Fellow in Health Policy and Management through the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. Dr. Loehrer’s research focuses on the intersection of health policy, social determinants of health, and equity in surgical and cancer care delivery in the United States.
