Janeth Sanchez is a Cancer Research Fellow in the Healthcare Delivery Research Program at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Prior to joining NCI, she received her doctorate in Health Services with an emphasis in evaluative sciences & statistics from the University of Washington.
Her research focuses on improving access to and the delivery of cancer care among health disparity populations by identifying modifiable points of intervention at the policy, health system, and provider levels. She currently leads projects that assess the association between multidisciplinary care and quality metrics using population-based data. She also leads several projects focused on addressing social determinants of health within the context of cancer care delivery.
As an independent researcher, she plans to optimize cancer care delivery, develop multilevel interventions that mitigate the effects of care fragmentation, and evaluate the impact of national policies on the delivery of equitable, high-quality, and cost-effective care across diverse populations.
