Beverly Green, M.D., M.P.H., is a family physician and senior investigator at Kaiser Permanente Washington, and is an associate clinical professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She designs and evaluates programs that health care out of the office and into patients homes. Dr. Green’s research has shown that: At-home blood pressure checks, EHR-linked secure e-mail, and pharmacist care doubled hypertension control. Online care provided by a dietician can help people with high blood pressure eat healthier and lose weight. Colorectal cancer screening rates more than doubled with the use of electronic health record data, mailed stool kits, and could be implemented across federally qualified health centers and by Medicaid healthcare plans. Dr. Green is an editorial board member of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and the Journal of the American Board of Family Practice. She is also a fellow of the American Heart Association.
