Dr. Valerie A. Yeager is a Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management and Director of the Center for Health Policy at Indiana University Indianapolis Fairbanks School of Public Health. Her research broadly focuses on the intersection of healthcare and public health systems including studies of nonprofit hospital community benefits, Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs), wrap-around service provision, and care coordination. In the field of Public Health Services and Systems Research, Dr. Yeager studies voluntary national accreditation of public health departments and workforce topics such as recruitment, retention, and training needs. In 2024, Dr. Yeager received the 2024 Indiana Public Health Association Outstanding Public Health Advocate Award.
