Jill Huppert, M.D., M.P.H., is a physician who serves as Program Officer managing grant-funded studies and as a project officer managing evidence reviews conducted under the Evidence-based Practice Center master contract. In this capacity, she works with contractors to produce systematic reviews and with partners who use AHRQ products to develop practice guidelines and inform research agendas and coverage decisions. She joined AHRQ as part of the patient-centered outcomes research Dissemination and Implementation Initiative, which aims to translate patient-centered outcomes research into practice.
Dr. Huppert trained in obstetrics and gynecology and has over 25 years of clinical, research, and programmatic experience in women’s health. After clinical work in the Indian Health Service and the University of Cincinnati, she transitioned to a research career focusing on sexually transmitted diseases (STD) in adolescent women, as well as quality improvement methods and research. Prior to joining AHRQ, Dr. Huppert was the chief of the Program Development and Quality Improvement Branch for the Division of STD Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
