Stacie Carney, M.D., is the Chief Medical Information Officer at OCHIN. OCHIN is a nonprofit leader in equitable health care innovation and a trusted partner to a growing national provider network, providing the clinical insights and tailored technologies needed to expand patient access, connect and augment care teams, and improve the health of systemically underserved communities. With more than two decades of practice-based research and solutions expertise, OCHIN supports more than 22,000 providers at over 1,000 care delivery sites including community health centers, public health departments, rural hospitals, school-based clinics, correctional facilities, and behavioral health services. OCHIN manages the largest collection of community health data in the country and its research division explores questions and interventions affecting patients in rural and medically underserved communities, with expertise in social determinants, reproductive health, and many more areas. At OCHIN, Dr. Carney leads the Clinical Operations department, which aims to address health disparities, and supports technology innovation that provides evidenced based clinical content and improves care team wellness. Dr. Carney is a primary care physician with over 15 years of clinical and quality improvement experience in practice, and is board certified in both Clinical Informatics and Internal Medicine. Prior to joining OCHIN, she was faculty member at Oregon Health & Science University, and a physician in both private practice and safety net settings in Oregon and California. Dr. Carney is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco (M.D.), and Stanford University (B.A. in Public Policy).
