Dr. Kelsey Bilsback is a senior scientist at PSE Healthy Energy with expertise in mechanical engineering and atmospheric science. Her research uses modeling tools to quantify the air quality, health, and equity impacts of energy policies and planning. Examples of her work include quantifying the indoor and outdoor air quality impacts of methane leaks from the oil and gas sector and evaluating the health and equity impacts of utilities’s energy production portfolios. Prior to joining PSE, Dr. Bilsback was a researcher at Colorado State University, where she used chemical-transport model tools to assess the air quality, health, and climate impacts of energy transition policies and studied solid-fuel cookstove emissions and their impacts on air quality, health, and climate. Dr. Bilsback has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a BA in Physics from Boston University.

Kelsey Bilsback is a 2024 grantee of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Health Data for Action program, managed by AcademyHealth.
