Jocelyn Bosley is the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s first-ever Research Impact Coordinator. In this role, which she began in 2020, Jocelyn draws upon her undergraduate training in STEM, her graduate training in the history of science, and her experience as a STEM educator to promote novel, cross-disciplinary approaches to impactful scholarship. Since joining UNL in 2015 as the Assistant Director for Education and Outreach of the Nebraska Materials Science and Engineering Center, Jocelyn has organized a broad range of initiatives to engage diverse participants and audiences with STEM research, including the annual Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physical Sciences; the NSF-funded website Funsize Physics; the UNL Science Slam which she co-founded; and the biennial No Coast SciComm conference which she co-chairs. She is a past NSF Graduate Research Fellow, has been honored as a Raytheon Math Hero for her mentorship of K-12 students, and in 2019, she was selected by the American Association for the Advancement of Science as one of 125 IF/THEN Ambassadors who serve as high-profile role models for girls in STEM.
