Jodi Simon, DrPH, MS, is a health services researcher and public health professional with expertise in mixed methods research. Her area of focus is research on primary care issues affecting vulnerable populations including chronic disease care, social drivers of health, and health disparities. She is passionate about health equity and increasing the representation of underserved populations in health services research.
She is currently a Senior Health Services Research Scientist at AllianceChicago, a national network of Federally Qualified Health Centers. In this role, Dr. Simon works with participating health centers and external stakeholders to conduct patient outcomes and health services research. She has served as Principal Investigator for studies on tobacco cessation, diabetes and telehealth, and a body of research on the unintended consequences of performance metrics in resource constrained settings.
Dr. Simon also has 18 years of experience as an independent consultant conducting health services research primarily focused on drivers of health information technology (HIT) adoption and the use of HIT to support chronic disease care. Prior to consulting she worked for Kaiser Permanente where she developed disease management and other population health programs.
She received her Master of Science in Health Policy from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and her Doctorate of Public Health from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
