Tony Roberts is a PhD candidate in Health Services Research at Brown University and a Health Economics and Outcomes Research Fellow at Medtronic. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Tony has held roles at several MedTech companies, including GE Healthcare and Alcon, where he supported operational excellence initiatives and market access strategies to improve medical device delivery and adoption. His dissertation investigates racial and ethnic disparities in lower limb prosthesis prescription practices and their implications for health outcomes, costs, and healthcare utilization. More broadly, his research leverages real-world data to evaluate how innovative medical devices, and procedural interventions can promote more equitable and efficient healthcare delivery. Through this work, Tony aims to inform practices and policies that improve patient outcomes while addressing systemic disparities in access to care.
