Curtis S. Toma, M.D., has served as the Hawaii Medicaid Medical Director since 2011. His clinical career as a pediatrician has been at underserved sites, including the community health centers and several years at a homeless shelter. He has a special interest in underserved populations, adolescents, medically complex children, foster children, and children’s mental health. His experience with these populations is from both a provider as well as payor perspective. He received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics.
