Marwa Rawy, PharmD, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation. Her research employs observational and quasi-experimental methods to examine the epidemiology of overdose and mental health crises and to evaluate the impact of heath policies and insurance structure on access and affordability of care. She is interested in leveraging real-world data to inform policy and decision-making, with the goal of reducing socioeconomic and racial disparities in treatment access and health outcomes among adults and youth with mental health and substance use disorders. Dr. Rawy received her MS and PhD degrees in Health Services Research from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a postdoctoral fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
