Golda Houndoh, MSc, is a Program Associate II at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), where she leads the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity (MMM) Workgroup and manages a research portfolio in comparative clinical effectiveness focused on maternal health, pain, pediatrics, and the reduction of health disparities through equity-informed approaches. Her work centers on advancing equity-centered, patient-driven research to address systemic gaps in care and improve outcomes for historically marginalized communities. Previously, Ms. Houndoh served as Program Director at Cayenne Wellness Center, where she led a federally funded initiative to expand access to comprehensive care for individuals living with sickle cell disease. In addition to her policy and programmatic work, she is a trained community doula with Birth in Color, providing culturally responsive reproductive support to women of color. These roles reflect her commitment to bridging national research strategy with community-rooted care. Ms. Houndoh holds an MSc in Global Public Health Policy from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Global Health Policy and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Virginia.
