Marcelo Coca Perraillon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health, Systems, Management & Policy at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. His research focuses on the evaluation of the effects of healthcare policy on expenditures, quality, and outcomes. Specific areas of interest include cancer care, autism in adults, and long-term care. Dr. Perraillon teaches graduate-level classes on statistical/econometric methods for health services research, health economics, economic evaluations, and applied artificial intelligence. Before obtaining his doctoral degree at the University of Chicago, he was a researchers at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Dr. Perraillon leads the Data Science component of the Population Health Shared Resources (PHSR) at the University of Colorado Comprehensive Cancer Center. In 2023, he was named President's Teaching Scholar at the University of Colorado system.
