Ming-Ting Yang is a Ph.D. Candidate in Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Rochester. With a background in physical therapy and a passion for health policy evaluation, his research focuses on improving healthcare outcomes and efficiency for older adults. He places a particular emphasis on promoting health equity among vulnerable populations and investigating racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the care of high-needs older adults. His doctoral research specifically examines policies and services that support aging in place. His current projects include an analysis of the impact of the Medicare Telehealth expansion policy during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Programs. Prior to his Ph.D. training, Ming-Ting worked as a physical therapist providing home health care to homebound older adults in Taiwan. This clinical experience profoundly shaped his research agenda. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in physical therapy from National Taiwan University.
