Lyubov Slashcheva is a population oral health specialist with clinical expertise in geriatric and special care dentistry. She is Chief Transformation Officer, Research Director, and dentist for Apple Tree Dental. 

Dr. Slashcheva completed her dental training at the VCU School of Dentistry and residency in Dental Public Health and Fellowship in Geriatric and Special Needs Dentistry at the UI College of Dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health, a Fellow of the American Board of Special Care Dentistry, and a Fellow of the ICD. She has served numerous organizations, including the APHA Oral Health Section, IADR/AADOCR, AAPHD, American Society for Geriatric Dentistry, Virginia/Minnesota/American Dental Associations, and the ASTDD Healthy Aging Committee.

Her research interests promote community-based data as a valuable resource for advancing health equity through workforce, policy, and practice innovation. She promotes using the Learning Health Systems model to accelerate community-engaged, evidence-based, advocacy-forward systems change.
