Brittney Boakye is a doctoral student and APHA Kaiser Permanente Community Health Scholar in the School of Community Health & Policy at Morgan State University. Her research examines the life course impacts of socioenvironmental factors on maternal and pediatric health outcomes. More specifically, she is interested in using biomarkers of chronic stress, such as allostatic load, to explore racial and ethnic disparities. Brittney currently serves as a Clinical Research Data Analyst at Children’s National Hospital, where her work focuses on addressing inequities in pediatric care delivery and health outcomes, and is a T32 Pre-Doctoral Clinical Research Scholar at Johns Hopkins University. She received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from George Washington University and her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Towson University. With experience in research and community engagement across diverse settings, Brittney is dedicated to engaging in meaningful research that is actionable, impactful, and advances health equity.
