Dr. Wen You is a tenured Full Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and Faculty Advisor of the Biostatistics and Population Science Shared Resource at the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and previously held a tenured professorship at Virginia Tech before joining UVA in 2019.
Dr. You's research integrates health economics, causal inference, and adaptive trial design, with a career total of 23 externally funded projects (as PI, MPI, or co-I lead biostatistician or health economist), including 11 R01s, totaling over $50 million. Her current program centers on cancer health economics, particularly financial toxicity, using discrete choice experiments, economic evaluation, and large-scale claims and electronic health record data to design more equitable, patient-centered models of cancer care. She has authored over 125 peer-reviewed publications and mentored more than 90 graduate students.
