Taylor Bucy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and an MPH in Health Management and Policy from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health.
Dr. Bucy’s research critically examines the role of long-term and post-acute care within the broader healthcare delivery system and identifies areas for meaningful organizational improvement in the structures and processes that support high-quality care transitions and other important patient-centered outcomes.This includes enhancing current understanding of how organizations approach care improvements while facing complex policy environments, evolving incentive structures, and changing patient demographics.
