Dr. Elizabeth A. Mosley, Ph.D., M.P.H. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with the CONVERGE sexual and reproductive health equity research center and an Affiliate Faculty member at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health with the RISE (Reproductive health research In the Southeast) Center. On the DREAM study with AcademyHealth, Dr. Mosley is a Co-Investigator leading the project’s qualitative data collection and analysis.
Dr. Mosley earned her Ph.D. in Health Behavior and Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, where she was also a predoctoral demography fellow at the Population Studies Center. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship on community-engaged family planning research at Emory with RISE, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship on technology-based sexual health interventions at the Georgia State University School of Public Health. She holds a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research has focused on perinatal health equity, contraception, abortion, and violence prevention both in the United States and in sub-Saharan Africa.
She is herself a volunteer full spectrum doula and has been serving Medicaid clients since 2009. She collaborates closely with Embrace Refugee Birth Support, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, and the Georgia Community Doula Coalition. With those partners, she was the Principal Investigator of the Georgia Doula Study.
