This full roadmap presents the complete strategic framework developed by leaders across the cancer care ecosystem at the December 2025 AIAC Scaling Biomarker Testing Workgroup Design Meeting.

In December 2025, AcademyHealth convened 35 leaders representing clinical practice, pathology, patient advocacy, health system transformation, implementation science, industry, and policy to review the current state of practice and outline what is needed to advance the field of biomarker testing. This roadmap is the product of that convening: a shared strategic framework for bringing cancer biomarker testing to national scale. The roadmap sets out a shared framework for coordinated action: a collective impact approach, six key indicators for measuring progress, four interdependent workstreams, and five foundational activities underway between April and December 2026 to prepare the coalition for full launch.
