Dr. Savyasachi Shah earned his Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India followed by a Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore. Along with his Master’s he has completed Academic Certificates in Public Health Economics, Health Leadership and Management, Health Communication and Global Tobacco Control. He has completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Public Health and Outcomes Research at the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research, University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is also the recipient of the FDA M-CERSI fellowship to work on the regulatory studies related to medical devices.
With his education and experience in Dentistry, Public Health, Health Economics and Health Services Research, Dr. Shah's research interests include comparative effectiveness of oral health care delivery models, cost-effectiveness of preventive procedures, dental health-related outcomes research, decision analysis, predictive modeling, health services utilization studies and the use of prescription opioids in dental practices. He also continues to work with the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research, University of Maryland, Baltimore.
