The project team will work with 10 states to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve the collection and reporting of HIV viral suppression data to the Adult Core Set, and will promote the dissemination and replication of effective strategies. The project has three primary goals:

  • Goal 1: Building capacity: Working with 10 states in the HQDC to report high-quality HIV viral suppression data to Medicaid;
  • Goal 2: Evaluating the project: Conducting a multi-site evaluation to assess the effectiveness of activities implemented by the states to improve reporting the Adult Core Set HVL-AD measure annually to CMS; and
  • Goal 3: Disseminating and replicating innovative, sustainable strategies. Working with participating states and HRSA to disseminate and promote the replication of findings and lessons learned.
