An upcoming webinar will feature parent partner perspectives on their levels of engagement with the systems of care that support their children with medical complexity (CMC).
At the beginning of the year, AcademyHealth launched a new online portal to better serve our community. To register for AcademyHealth events you are required to access the portal. Accessing the portal for the first time will require previous users to reset their password.
This hour-long webinar will feature parent partners and leaders from the systems of care for their children as they describe “the why” that motivates their participation and the “how” that keeps them involved. This session will highlight how two HRSA-funded Demonstration Sites have worked with family partners to discuss and implement care delivery model improvements for their children with medical complexity (CMC). Attendees will gain valuable insights into caregiver priorities, effective engagement strategies, and how to actualize “meeting people where they are”. You’ll hear open dialogue from two sets of engagement partners about how to assess group needs, share power, and facilitate meaningful involvement of caregivers and parents of CMC. There will also be dedicated time for attendee questions and discussions about the importance of family engagement in various settings.
