Rashida Dorsey, Ph.D., M.P.H., is the Branch Chief for the newly formed Statistical Products Branch of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). She is the first statistician hired to build this new branch and leads the development of products to increase public understanding of and access to FHFA data. Prior to this role, Dr. Dorsey was the Director of Data Development and Information Products Division and Senior Advisor on Data Strategy in the Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunities Commission. The cornerstone of Dr. Dorsey’s work is expanding the awareness and utility of federal data assets to advance equity. Dr. Dorsey is a leader in demographic data collection standards, data coordination and data collection strategy at the federal level, data development on racial and ethnic minorities and other vulnerable populations, minority health and health disparities- including developing, monitoring and evaluating strategic plans for racial/ethnic populations. Dr. Dorsey received her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh and her MPH from Saint Louis University.
