In 2022, AcademyHealth is celebrating 40 years as the go-to professional organization for health services research (HSR). Our 40th anniversary is much more than a look back. Last month we launched a series of interviews conducted by our president and CEO Dr. Lisa Simpson to spotlight new voices and ideas in our field. This month’s interview features Dr. Monica McLemore. Dr. McLemore’s career as a nurse-scientist with expertise in reproductive health and justice, a clinician with 28 years of practice, and a highly-respected professor of nursing has given her a unique and important perspective on HSR as it pertains to health equity and policy translation.
