Shari Esquenazi-Karonika, M.P.H., M.S., is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston on the Health Promotion & Behavioral Science track with a minor in Healthcare Management. She is also a Senior Research Project Manager at NYU Langone Health, where she manages efforts for the NIH's RECOVER Initiative and ISCHEMIA Trial. Shari is a mixed-methods researcher whose areas of interest include health technology, mental health, prevention, health disparities, and implementation science. She has worked in health services programming, research, and education for seven years. In addition to her training in public health and healthcare management, Shari has a strong foundation as a bioethicist and has completed fellowships in bioethics at both Yale University as well as MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Ms. Esquenazi-Karonika is a 2023 AcademyHealth Diversity Scholar.
