Wondering how this decision will impact diversity, inclusion, and representation in the healthcare and health services research workforce? Join us for this webinar hosted in partnership with the Weitzman Institute. This engaging session will provide an overview of the ruling and its implications beyond admissions, shedding light on the potential effects on underrepresented groups, strategies and alternatives for maintaining diversity, and the role of employers in promoting inclusion.
The conversation covered several pressing, timely questions including:
How will the elimination of race-conscious admissions policies impact the recruitment and retention of racially/ethnically minoritized groups in health profession graduate programs, and the future workforce?
What strategies and alternatives can institutions and employers adopt to maintain diversity and inclusion in the absence of race-conscious admissions policies?
With Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) efforts being undermined at the local, state, and national levels, what actions can individuals take to inform themselves and then advocate for better policy-making?
By addressing these topics and engaging in insightful discussions, the webinar provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the consequences of the ruling, while exploring ways to maintain diversity and foster inclusion in college admissions and the broader workforce.
