AcademyHealth manages the Optimizing Value in Health Care: Consumer-Focused Trends from the Field project for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Through this project, the Foundation awarded 11 research studies in 2015 in order to better understand consumer perceptions of value in the new and emerging health care landscape and to allow for rapid learning from the field on consumer valuation of health care. The funded studies cover a diverse set of topics that will inform the development of tools, resources and policies to support consumers in making high-value decisions that benefit them and other stakeholders. AcademyHealth is currently working with the grantees as they conduct their studies and disseminate their findings.
