Kara Skelton, Ph.D., M.A.Ed. is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing on environmental level influences of maternal and child health. This includes examining unintended consequences of cannabis legalization and cannabis use on maternal and child health outcomes. She is also interested in infant and child health promotion, with an emphasis on breastfeeding and school-based interventions. Dr. Skelton holds a Master's Degree in Community Health Education and a Ph.D. in Health Education & Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
