Dr. Kathryn Connell is a critical care nurse and researcher focused on improving outcomes for nurses and patients in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Currently working as an ICU nurse, she applies her clinical expertise to improve patient care. Dr. Connell earned her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research and further developed her skills during a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Research, Investigation, and Systems Modeling of Acute Illness (CRISMA) within the Department of Critical Care Medicine. Her research examines how ICU organizational structures influence patient outcomes and nursing decision-making.
