Laura F. Garabedian, MPH, PHD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Policy and Insurance Research in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. She is a health services researcher with extensive training in evaluation science and statistics and experience using quasi-experimental research designs with large administrative and claims datasets to evaluate the impact of health insurance interventions on health insurance enrollment and health care utilization, quality and costs. She has a particular interest in ACA Marketplace plans. Dr. Garabedian also has a strong commitment to teaching. At Harvard Medical School, Dr. Garabedian serves as Co-Director of Essentials of the Profession, a required first-year course that covers health policy, medical ethics, social medicine, and clinical epidemiology and population health. She also teaches and mentors students in the Harvard PhD Program in Health Policy.
