Dr. Lianlian Lei is a health services researcher working to improve wellness of older adults. Dr. Lianlian Lei just completed her PhD in Health Services Research & Policy at the University of Rochester. She received her B.A. in Economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China, and M.A. in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China.

Dr. Lei’s research focuses on dementia care, health care delivery, long-term care, labor migration, left-behind children, smoking and geriatric oncology. For her PhD thesis she conducted instrumental variable analyses to understand the implications of continuity of care for Veterans with dementia living in the community.​

Dr. Lei is a 2020 AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellow. Her host site is the Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Health Care System in partnership with the University of Michigan.
