Sarah Weinberg is a Research Associate at AcademyHealth where she primarily supports projects related to health systems improvement and grantmaking impact assessment. Currently, her work focuses on improving school-based mental health services for children and youth with special health care needs through the development of a national research agenda, supported by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She additionally works on a project with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) to facilitate more timely, dynamic reporting and communication of grantees’ research impact on health policy and practice.
Previously, Sarah assisted with efforts to advance patient-centered clinical decision support and develop a renewed research agenda for public health systems and services research. She also supported dissemination efforts on a project to improve HIV viral load suppression among Medicaid beneficiaries by improving state capacity for Medicaid core set reporting. Prior to joining AcademyHealth, Sarah worked as a Research Assistant and Writing Mentor at Grinnell College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a concentration in Science, Medicine, and Society.
