AcademyHealth HSR Week 2026 on a blue background written in white font.

For the first time ever, AcademyHealth is launching HSR Week, a field wide moment dedicated to making health services research more visible, celebrating the people driving impact, and showing how evidence improves health care.

Taking place May 26 through June 2, 2026, HSR Week will bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students, health systems, and partners across the field to highlight the value of health services research and the role it plays in improving care, informing policy, and supporting healthier communities.

Health services research shapes decisions that affect millions of people every day. Yet many people outside the field still do not fully understand what HSR is, who drives it, or why it matters. HSR Week is an opportunity to change that.

Throughout the week, AcademyHealth will share resources, stories, social campaigns, and activities designed to help make HSR easier to see, understand, and celebrate. Participants will have opportunities to engage online and onsite during the 2026 Annual Research Meeting (ARM).

HSR Week activities will include:

  • Downloadable social graphics and participation resources
  • “What is HSR?” educational resources
  • Opportunities to recognize HSR champions and mentors
  • Interactive experiences and activities happening at ARM
  • Community driven storytelling about how evidence improves health care

This first year is about building momentum together and creating a shared moment for the field. Whether you are attending ARM, participating online, sharing your work, or simply helping spread awareness, everyone has a role to play in making health services research more visible.

RSVPs for HSR Week are now open. Individuals who RSVP will receive participation resources, campaign updates, downloadable graphics, and ways to get involved throughout the week.

Join us as we celebrate the science that makes health care work.
