Overview

One of the top professional challenges reported by health services researchers is effectively communicating their research for impact. In the U.S. and abroad, many researchers and their institutions face growing expectations to demonstrate the value and contributions of their work beyond academia. While health services and policy research can directly inform health care policy and practice, understanding whether and how research findings reach decision makers is a persistent challenge.

Learning Objectives

Participants of this online event learned from experts in the field how to effectively track research products and dissemination activities to better demonstrate the impact of their work. The webinar aimed to:

  • Highlight opportunities and challenges associated with capturing the impact of research on health care policy and practice.
  • Provide participants with practical tools for tracking their research activities, products, and outcomes.

Webinar participants gained access to a new members-only resource, the Impact Metrics Tracker, which helps researchers track research outputs and related outcomes.

This was a members-only event.
