Dr. Victoria Osborne holds a PhD and MSW from Washington University in St Louis’ Brown School as well as a BA in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She is currently Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. She has had faculty appointments at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Family and Community Medicine (Assistant Research Professor) and as Assistant Professor in Social Work and Public Health at the University of Missouri. Her research agenda is based in integration of behavioral health in primary care settings, with a focus on substance abuse awareness and educational programs for clinicians and patients. Throughout the past 17 years, she has been engaged in program evaluation of these and similar simulation training programs for social work, medical, and nursing students. Over the last two years, she has developed virtual reality simulations to train health professions students on behavioral interaction skills. Prior to herdoctorate, she completed five years of corporate/non-academic program evaluation experience as a research associate and research analyst. She has served as project director on a HRSA funded BHWET grant, as well as co-principal investigator on a state-funded opioid and stimulant misuse prevention grant. She is currently project director on a state-funded behavioral health workforce grant.
