We look forward to seeing many of you next week at the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM) in Seattle. The 2011 ARM offers a wealth of opportunities for new and established researchers, and we want you to get the most out of your conference experience. As you plan your schedule, be sure to include the best of what the ARM has to offer: Stay Connected Connect with AcademyHealth and other attendees through our many social media channels. Follow us on Twitter for updates throughout the meeting. ARM attendees can also utilize the meeting’s mobile app, TripBuilder, to create a customized agenda. (Available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and any Web-enabled mobile device.) Build Your Career AcademyHealth has expanded the career development opportunities at the ARM, with a career development track within the agenda, advanced methods training and exclusive student opportunities. Follow the career development track for advice on how to advance in the field, or attend pre-conference methods seminars to expand your technical skills. Network More than 2,100 researchers, providers, and key health care decision makers from around the world gather each year at the ARM, making it the best opportunity to network with your peers. The conference agenda features several receptions and networking sessions, including a welcome reception for first-time attendees. Participants can also search the online participant directory to connect with fellow attendees before and after the meeting. Cast Your Vote Participants will be able to vote for an outstanding poster during each of the three poster sessions. The researcher whose poster receives the most votes will be recorded for a video segment on AcademyHealth’s website. Instructions will be available onsite in the poster hall. Innovate The Innovation Station is a Wi-Fi lounge for all ARM participants to access new tools, resources, and mobile applications for health services research. Check the schedule outside the Innovation Station for times when experts will demonstrate featured products. At all other times, the resources will be available for self-guided demonstrations on computers and for download to mobile devices. Stay tuned to the blog for daily highlights from the meeting. See you in Seattle!
