Our Vision

We envision a fundamental transformation of the cancer care journey, where biomarker testing is a routine, expected, and fully reimbursed component of diagnosis and treatment. We are working towards a future that is powered by a coalition of patients, care providers, researchers, payers, policymakers, and industry partners who share a common understanding of the importance of precision medicine. We are creating a high trust, aligned, and self-sustaining model for health care evolution where innovation is adopted at scale to ensure that every patient's treatment is as unique as their diagnosis.

Commitment to Equity

We are committed to dismantling the barriers that create disparities in cancer biomarker testing. We are not just talking about equity; we are building it into everything we do. Every workstream, every decision, and every solution means we are engaging community leaders, patient advocates, and local health care champions as full partners in governance and decision-making. We are committed to ensuring that our solutions are grounded in the lived expertise of the communities most affected by current diagnostic gaps.

Our Approach

Rather than working in isolated sectors, the coalition is designed to support cross-sector partnerships to advance cancer biomarker testing. AcademyHealth serves as our central hub, coordinating the many moving pieces across the coalition to close gaps in policy and payment alignment, data infrastructure, clinical workflows, and stakeholder engagement. At the center of this work are our champions, trusted leaders and organizations, who we connect with proven resources and collaborative networks to accelerate the adoption of biomarker testing at both the local and national level.

Why Collective Impact?

Because the challenges around biomarker testing do not work in isolation, meaningful progress requires coordinated action across the entire health care ecosystem. That is why we are tackling this using a different model: collective impact. Our model brings together diverse stakeholders around a shared vision. We address systemic challenges through coordinated top-down policy changes, peer-to-peer clinical champion networks, and bottom-up community engagement, recognizing that scaling biomarker testing requires all system components working together.
