Designed to promote networking, student chapters receive support from AcademyHealth in instituting programs and projects of interest. Suggestions for student chapter activities include:
- Schedule a series of guest speakers on topics of interest. AcademyHealth can help identify potential speakers in your area.
- Welcome by AcademyHealth President and CEO, Dr. Aaron Carroll.
- Attend an AcademyHealth conference. Request to co-host student-specific conference events.
- Participate in Advocacy initiatives.
- Hold an information/recruitment event for undergraduate and graduate students. Provide information to students who might be considering a career in health services research and health policy. Recruit new members into the chapter and AcademyHealth.
- Discuss an AcademyHealth online webinar on methods, professional skill-building or policy topics.
- Coordinate a community service project.
- Schedule a campus visit with another chapter in your area.
