Overview: This webinar features an introduction to mixed methods and includes applied examples from public health services and systems research (PHSSR). The course is intended for researchers at all levels as well as practitioners looking to translate research findings. Those with training in mixed methods are also encouraged to participate, in order to refresh their knowledge of current best practices.

In 2009, AcademyHealth conducted a needs assessment of methods training needs in PHSSR. Respondents to the needs assessment’s survey of researchers cited mixed methods as a common approach. In fact, 68% of survey respondents use mixed methods in conducting PHSSR. This webinar is intended to enhance the application of mixed methods to this emerging research discipline.
