Alexandra Hames is a Senior Research Scientist at Humana Healthcare Research. At Humana, she leads pharmacy-based observational research studies to improve health outcomes for Humana’s Medicare Advantage members and guide pharmacy strategy. Prior to joining Humana, Alexandra earned her PhD in Health Services Research and Policy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, where her AHRQ-funded dissertation research focused on insurance benefit design and affordability of care for older adults. She also has previous experience in government and contract research settings. Alexandra completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia.
