Dr. Andrea Acevedo is a Senior Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton. She has over 20 years of experience in health services research, much of which has focused on treatment services for substance use disorders (SUD). She has worked on the development and testing of quality indicators for SUD treatment and interventions to improve quality of care. Much of her past and current work involves understanding racial and ethnic, gender, and geographic inequities in substance use and mental health care, including the impact of interventions and policies on equity.  

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Dr. Acevedo was a tenured professor at Tufts University. Dr. Acevedo received her Ph.D. in Social Policy with a concentration in behavioral health services and policy from Brandeis University, and her Masters' in Health and Social Behavior from the Harvard School of Public Health.
