Ashley Kirzinger is director of survey methodology and associate director of the Public Opinion and Survey Research Program, where she helps direct the organization’s polling work and is responsible for overseeing and managing the survey research process within the organization. This includes designing and implementing survey methodologies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of survey data, and providing guidance on best practices for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting survey data. She is an expert in public opinion on U.S. health care and the role that health care plays in elections, including views of the ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance; racial and ethnic disparities and discrimination; and LGBTQ issues. Dr. Kirzinger holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University’s Manship School and currently lives in Portland, Maine.
