Dolores Albarracin Professor of Psychology and Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a leading expert in the study of attitudes, communication, and behavior.
She is the lead editor of the Handbook of Attitudes, which has become a source of reference with national and international reach. She has published over 140 journal articles and book chapters in the leading outlets of the field of psychology and other disciplines. She is a fellow of the Society for Experimental Social Psychology, the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, the American Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science. She is currently editor-in-chief of Psychological Bulletin. She has been a chartered member of two grant review panels at the National Institutes of Health, and currently serves on a panel at the National Science Foundation. She was the recipient of the Mid-Career Award for Outstanding Scientific Contribution on Attitudes and Social Influence from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. She applies her theorizing in the area of health and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
