Ebony Funches is a current M.P.H. student with a focus on Social and Behavioral Sciences at IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. (2022) She is employed at the Marion County Public Health Department where she manages the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded REACH Program. Her work is focused on reducing racial and ethnic health disparities by creating a network of strategies to address high chronic disease rates in Marion County, Indiana. Mrs. Funches brings to Academy Health a record of successfully building and transforming complex, multi-faceted initiatives, leading to better health outcomes for diverse, atrisk populations. She is a proud military wife and mother to her husband Levi Jr. and children Levi III and Amia. She is an active member of Eta Sigma Gamma, an honor society for health education and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a sorority that focuses on servicing all mankind.
