Jennifer McGehee holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Arts in Medical Anthropology. She joined CDC in 2002 as a fellow in CDC’s Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program (PHIFP).  Ms. McGehee has spent nearly 14 years of her CDC career providing informatics expertise to the Laboratory Response Network (LRN), which includes implementing the first large-scale data exchange architecture for the network and helping to launch the implementation of integrated solutions encompassing standard HL7 messaging.  Ms. McGehee’s other CDC projects include two years leading the CDC Data and Message Brokering (DMB) team and three years leading the Public Health Information Network Messaging System (PHINMS), a ubiquitous software product utilized throughout public health surveillance.
