Junling Wang, Ph.D., is a Professor and Vice Chair at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Translational Science, University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy (UTCOP). She was also the Founding Chair of the Health Disparities and Equity Improvement Theme Team at UTCOP. Dr. Wang is a Standing Member/alternate chair of the Organization and Delivery of Health Services study section for the National Institutes of Health. She is an Advisory Committee Co-Chair for the Value Assessment - Health Outcomes Research program of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Foundation. At the premier national organization of health services researchers, AcademyHealth, Dr. Wang is an Education Council member. She has held leadership positions with the American Public Health Association, including program chair, membership chair, and Governing/Section Councilor. Dr. Wang’s research has concentrated on racial/ethnic disparities and economic evaluation. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Health, foundations, industry, and the state government. She has published almost 100 peer-reviewed journal articles. Her research has been cited multiple times by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for Medicare program reform about medication therapy management services. Dr. Wang has also received an Excellence in Teaching Award at her institution.
